| molecularNote | A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC: RP23-128E5) containing nearly 192.04 kb sequence upstream of the mouse Ghrl start codon and nearly the entire coding sequence of the gene, ending ~1.17 kb upstream of the stop codon was modified by inserting a humanized Renilla reniformis GFP (hrGFP) sequence into the translational start site of the gene removing the first 29bp of the coding sequence.
