| molecularNote | Using a bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC: RP24-258K7) homologous recombination, a transgene with floxed green fluorescent protein (GFP)-STOP cassette followed by phosphotyrosine binding domain (PTB) deleted Anks1 cDNA (Anks1-dPTB) and the frt-Kana-frt cassette inserted at the mouse Anks1 translation start site was generated. The mutant (Anks1-dPTB) is expressed upon crossing of mice with cre expressing mice to delete floxed GFP cassette. The recombinant BAC transgene was then injected into fertilized C57BL/6 mouse eggs.
