Allele : Serpina3c<em1Smoc> serine (or cysteine) peptidase inhibitor, clade A, member 3C; endonuclease-mediated mutation 1, Shanghai Model Organisms Center

Primary Identifier  MGI:7292227 Allele Type  Endonuclease-mediated
Attribute String  Null/knockout Gene  Serpina3c
Inheritance Mode  Not Specified Strain of Origin  C57BL/6JSmoc
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  CRISPR/Cas9 technology was used to delete exons 2-5 of the mouse Serpina3c gene by non-homologous recombination. qPCR analysis demonstrated that mRNA expression was abolished in multiple tissues, including brown adipose tissue (BAT), inguinal and epididymal white adipose tissue (WAT), liver, and muscle. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the inguinal and epididymal WAT of homozygous mutant mice.
