| molecularNote | Mice carrying Rbm4tm1Wtarn and Rbm4bem1Wtarn were crossed with an Tg(EIIa-cre)C5379Lmgd transgenic mouse line. Cre expression results in the excision of approximately 30 kb floxed region including 18.1kb of the intergenic region, Rbm4a (exons 2-4) and Rbm4b (exons 2-4) loci (containing predicted genes [Gm19103, Gm21992], regulatory regions [Rr358651, Rr360782, Rr360784] and the transcription start site region Tssr157511. This double knockout completely abolished Rbm4 and Rbm4b expression at both the mRNA and protein levels. |
