abstractText  We have used Southern blot analysis of DNA from somatic cell hybrids to map the chromosomal location of the mouse L3T4 T cell differentiation antigen gene to chromosome 6. This finding is of interest because both L3T4 and the alternative T cell differentiation antigen Lyt-2 are homologous to kappa-immunoglobulin light chain-variable regions, and the genes encoding kappa and Lyt-2 are also located on mouse chromosome 6.
