abstractText  Melanoma growth stimulatory activity (Mgsa) is a polypeptide mitogen and a possible autocrine growth factor for melanoma and other tumor cells. A restriction fragment length variant of Mgsa was followed in interspecific backcross mic Mgsa was localized between Afp and Gus on mouse chromoson 5, distal to known loci affecting skin pigmentation.
