abstractText | Rat p67 is an initiation factor-2 associated protein, which plays important roles in translational regulation. A cDNA that encodes a homologue of rat p67 was isolated from a human liver cDNA library. The encoded protein contains 478 amino acids with a calculated molecular mass of 52,891 and an isoelectric point of 5.64. The amino acid sequence is 92% identical to that of rat p67. The corresponding mRNA has a size of approximately 2.1 kb and is present in all tested human tissues. |
