It is distinguished from other DCO Il22 Gly-Gaba cells by expression of Ppp1r17. It is GABAergic and glycinergic (inferred from expression of Slc32a1, Hdc, Slc6a5, Gad2, Gad1). These cells are located in the Medulla, Cerebellum, brain , in or close to the regions: Paraflocculus, arbor vitae, Dorsal cochlear nucleus .
