| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution. c. Erythrocyte antigen -9 (Ea-9). This locus was recently given the symbol Ea-9 (Green and Fox, M.N.L. 75:33-4, 1986). A two point cross has located Ea-9 24 +/- 4 cM from Gpd-1 on Chr 4. This is based on 25 recombinants in 104 backcross progeny from the following mating: Female C57BL/10J x Male(Female DBA/2J x Male C57BL/lOJ) Fl. Tests with other loci Alp-1, Es-1, Car-2, Gpi 1, Hbb, Pgm-1, Es-3, Es-10, Idh-1, Mod-1, Pep-3, and H-2 revealed no evidence of linkage with chromosomes, 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 14, or 17. Preliminary data suggest that Ea-9 is distal to Gpd-1 but further matings are in progress to test this hypothesis. (Fox and P.M. Black) |
