| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 5. Gene order of Chy-vt-Re on chromosome 11. Chylous ascites (Chy) was previously shown to be closely linked to vt on chromosome 11 (MNL 72: 106-107). Further data, involving 3-point backcrosses with Chy, vt and Re, and also crosses of Chy to wa-2, now indicate that Chy is proximal to vt. From crosses of Chy+Re/+vt+ x +vt+/+vt+ the data are Sex of het.: female; Chy+Re: 12; +vt+: 18; Chy++: 4; +vtRe: 16; ++Re: 3; Chyvt+: -; +++: -; Sex of het.: male; Chy+Re: 30; +vt+: 49; Chy++: 7; +vtRe: 14; ++Re: 4; Chyvt+: 3; +++: 1. In addition data from 2-point backcrosses of Chy++Re were Sex of het.: female; Chy+: 17; +Re: 28; ++: 12; ChyRe: 7; Sex of het.: male; Chy+: 67; +Re: 108; ++: 38; ChyRe: 30. and a cross of Chy+/+wa-2 x wa-2/wa-2 (male het.) gave 4 recombinants out of 32 offspring.
