| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Position of Tht on Chr 5. Thick tail (Tht) is linked to Ph on Chr 5 (MNL 62:48). Further crosses between Tht++/+go bf and angora buff mice have produced the following progeny: - 33 Tht, 39 go bf, 19 +, 13 Tht go bf, 7 Tht bf, 9 go, 2 bf; total 122. Thus the order is as shown with an RF of 27.9 +/- 4.1% between That and go. Some previous linkage test crosses had involved Rw as well, but no offspring of the expected Rw+/+Tht phenotype were obtained. This was found to be the result of lethality of the compound rather than any form of epistasis. (Beechey and Searle) |
