Three-point backcross matings of Hk + +/+ Os So x + + +/+ + + gave numbers of offspring: Hk: 18; Os So: 17; Hk Os So: 8; +: 2; Hk Os: 0; So: 1; Hk So: 13; Os: 10; Total: 69. This proves that Os is in the middle. The recombination frequencies in this test are: Hk - 16 - Os - 35 - So. In the previous test (MNL 27: 30) the recombination between Os and So was 38.3 +/- 2.8%.
