abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Proposed changes in Gene Symbols: It is becoming increasingly important to bring mouse and human gene nomenclature closer into line with respect to apparently homologous loci, in order to prevent confusion. It is therefore proposed to change some gene symbols and continue to reserve others (see MNL 58:2) as follows:- Present symbol: Dip-2, Pep-1; Proposed symbol: Pep-1; Name: Peptidase-1 (human-A). Present symbol: Trip-1, Pep-2; Proposed symbol: Pep-2; Name: Peptidase-2 (human-B). Present symbol: Dip-1; Proposed symbol: Pep-3; Name: Peptidase-3 (human-C). Present symbol: Pep-4; Proposed symbol: Pep-4; Name: Peptidase-4 (human-D). Present symbol: -; Proposed symbol: Pep-5 (reserved); Name: Peptidase-5 (human-E). Present symbol: ; Proposed symbol: Pep-6 (reserved); Name: Peptidase-6 (human-F). Present symbol: Pep-7; Proposed symbol: Pep-7; Name: Peptidase-7 (human-S). Present symbol: Id-1; Proposed symbol: Idh-1; Name: Isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 (as human). |
