| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Linkage Data: 1. The following 167 male offspring were obtained from the cross female Ta jp +/++Gy x male +++/Y (female parents were produced by crossing female ++Gy/+++ x male chimera Ta jp +/Y <---> +++/+++ or +++/Y): 50 Ta jp +, 66 ++ GY, 9 Ta jp Gy, 14 +++, 7 Ta + Gy, 21 + jp +, 0 Ta ++, and 0 + jp Gy. Males classified as Ta jp Gy/Y and Ta + Gy/Y were presumed to be Gy because, unlike their Ta jp +/Y and Ta ++/Y sibs, they were extremely runted and rarely lived past 2 weeks of age. Assuming that the single recombinant classes are each more common than the double recombinant class, the data indicate the gene order is Ta - jp - Gy. Recombination between jp and Gy is 23/167 - 13.77 +/- 2.67%. (Eicher) |
