A new estimate of the map distance between these loci has been made from data on (i) Ca +/+med outcrosses (no recombinants in 38.5 fully tested gametes), (ii) crosses of this genotype to + +/+ med (no recombinants in 255 classified) and (iii) intercrosses of this genotype and of Cad +/+ med, in which 2 recombinants have been found in 941 offspring classified. The figure arrived at is 0.18 units, the same as that accepted for d-se distance. (Searle and Beechey) |
