| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Linkages: 1. Muscle deficient (mdf) appears to be located near the centromere end of Chr 19 based on the following crosses: a repulsion cross with ruby-eye (mdf +/+ ru X rndf +/+ ru) gave 113 + +, 29 mdf +, 48 + ru, 1 mdf ru, total 191 with an RF of 35.7 +/- 5.4%. F2 tests of 17 ru +/ru - (8/17) gave an RF of 30.8%. A coupling cross (mdf ru/+ + X mdf ru/+ +) gave 101 + +, 24 mdf +, 33 + ru, 17 mdf ru, total 197 with an RF of 39.7 +/- 4.7%. No recombinants were found in a partial backcross with dancer Dc +/+ mdf X + +/+ mdf that gave 45 Dc +, 13 + mdf, 43 + +, 0 Dc mdf, total 101. (Sweet) |
