| abstractText | A collaboration between Mouse Genome Informatics and the Ensembl Genome Database Project of the Welcome Trust Sanger Institute provides links between Ensembl mouse gene models and MGI markers. Independently, MGI and Ensembl establish associations to LocusLink RefSeq and SWISS-PROT identifiers for many gene records. Wherever MGI and Ensembl gene records unambiguously share RefSeq and/or SWISS-PROT identifiers, an association is established between these records. A hypertext link is provided from the MGI gene detail page to the corresponding Mouse GeneView of the Ensembl Genome Browser. Ensembl provides graphic gene model displays within a genomic context, with supporting evidence.
