| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Aldehyde dehydrogenase (AHD) isozymes. An inherited electrophoretic variant of one of the liver AHD isozymes (designated A4) has been observed in three different inbred strains. The gene symbol Ahd is suggested. Linkage crosses are underway. Aldehyde oxidases were also observed following electrophoresis and staining using the tetrazolium dye procedure; appropriate controls were required to distinguish the two enzymes. (Holmes) |
