| abstractText | Linkage Data: Full text of MNL contribution: Linkage Data: 1. T(7; 15)9H. Linkage tests with Ca<d> and uw have confirmed that this translocation involves chr 15 (MNL 50: 40). Backcrosses of Ca<d> + uw/+ T9H + to uwuw mice gave the following progeny: - 14 T9H, 9 Cad uw, 11 Ca<d> T9H, 11 uw, 5 T9H uw, 6 Ca<d>, 3 Cad T9H uw and 5 +, total 64. Thus the order is as given with an RF of 30 +/- 6% between T9H and uw, and 47 +/- 6% between T9H and Ca<d>. This last estimate confirms an earlier finding of 26/58 recombinants between T9H and Ca, an RF of 45 +/- 6%. Since the map distance between the Ca and uw loci is supposed to be about 53 units it looks as if T9H may actually enhance crossing-over in this region. (Beechey and Searle) . |
