| abstractText | We represent genes in MGI as sequence objects that contain the genomic sequence between the start and end coordinates (without intron/exon boundaries). Annotated genome features for C57BL/6J are downloaded from sources including Ensembl. We download a file from TreeFam containing Ensembl IDs for genes represented in TreeFam's phylogenetic trees of gene families in animals. We then make automated and curated associations between MGI's gene records and TreeFam's phylogenetic trees. |
