| abstractText | The MGI Literature Triage Loader creates reference objects in MGI from pdf files dowloaded by curators during routine literature triage. The load converts a pdf file to text, attempts to extract the reference DOI ID, uses the DOI ID to find the corresponding reference in PubMed via a PubMed API, downloads MEDLINE-formatted data for the reference from PubMed and creates a reference record in MGI. Several quality control checks are performed to assure accurate representation of the reference in MGI. |
