Northern blot analysis of fasted homozygous mutant mice detected mRNA in liver and kidney, no mRNA in white adipose tissue, and a decreased level of mRNA in brown adipose tissue. RT-PCR studies using primers for exon 9 and 10 did not detect transcript in white adispose tissue from fasted homozygous mutant mice. |
