| molecularNote | The insertion of a neomycin selection cassette deleted a portion of the first coding exon, including sequence encoding the heme binding site. Northern blot analysis of total testicular RNA showed an absence of transcript in homozygous mutant mice. Encoded protein was undetected by Western blot anlaysis and immunohistochemical staining. Expression analysis showed that the homologous Cycs locus was unaffected by the targeting event. |
