An frt-flanked IRES-EGFP cassette was cloned downstream of the duplicated exon 5. The neo cassette was removed by cre-mediated recombination. Crossing these mice with the appropriate cre mouse results in deletion of the original exons 5 and 6. The EGFP reporter expression will occur from the recombined allele. |
