| molecularNote | A targeting vector was designed to insert an frt-flanked pGK-Neo cassette 468 bp upstream of the miR-150 stem loop, with one loxP site placed immediately upstream of the pGK-Neo cassette and the other loxP site placed 146 bp downstream of the miR-150 stem loop. To delete the loxP site-flanked 679 bp miR-150 coding genomic region and the frt-flanked pGK-Neo cassette, mice were then bred to cre-expressing mice (C57BL/6 congenic background, similar to Stock No. 006054). The resulting mice have a single loxP site replacing the miR-150 coding region. |
