| molecularNote | A targeting vector was created by cloning a floxed neomycin resistance gene followed by an IRES-YFP cassette into a BsmBI site located 9 bp downstream of the Igk-C stop codon. This construct was introduced into ES cells containing a Prm1-cre transgene and male chimeric mice were generated. Expression of the cre transgene in male germline cells removed the neo cassette. The Prm1-cre transgene was bred out of the resulting mice. YFP expression was observed in most pre-, immature-, and mature B cells of heterozygote mice. |
