| molecularNote | LoxP sites were inserted flanking exon 2 and an FRT flanked neo cassette was inserted in intron 2. Properly targeted mice were then crossed to mice expressing flp recombinase to remove the selection cassette. Finally, mice were crossed to cre expressing mice to excise exon 2 which contains the RING domain. A smaller, in frame transcript was produced reflecting the absence of the RING domain. |
