Allele : Rnf216<tm1b(EUCOMM)Wtsi> ring finger protein 216; targeted mutation 1b, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute

Primary Identifier  MGI:5605760 Allele Type  Targeted
Attribute String  Null/knockout, Reporter Gene  Rnf216
Transmission  Germline Strain of Origin  C57BL/6N-A<tm1Brd>
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
Project Collection  EUCOMM
molecularNote  Cre-mediated excision of the parental Rnf216tm1a(EUCOMM)Wtsi allele resulted in the removal of the promoter-driven neomycin selection cassette and critical exons 4 and 5 leaving behind the inserted lacZ reporter sequence. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the brain and testes of homozygous mutant mice. Further information on targeting strategies used for this and other IKMC alleles can be found at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/nomen/IKMC_schematics.shtml.
