molecularNote  A hamster PrP promoter drives expression of a mutant form of human SNCA (A30P). Two mouse lines were generated, Tg5093 and Tg5102). The highest expressing line (Tg5093) had 15-fold transgenic brain alpha-synuclein A30P expression and age-related motor dysfunction, and was characterized in detail.
